01
INITIAL CONSULTATIONIn the first consultation, we will meet each other on site or online and discuss your project and its possibilities, and to develop the design brief. Once the scope of the project is clear, I will send you a design fee proposal and a timetable of the following phases to be developed.
02
ANALYSISI will undertake a site analysis usually using a topographic survey plan (provided by the client or surveyor). At this stage, I will review the site location, the vegetation, the terrain, the circulation and accesses on the site and environmental factors such as the site orientation, sun, shade, noise, wind, water, soils etc. I will also consider the surrounding landscape and architecture along with your requirements in order to know the site potentials and limitations and to have a clear vision of your project.
03
CONCEPTFollowing the completion of the site analysis, I will provide plans and 3D sketches, along with the plant and material mood boards for developing ideas. This will be used for discussing with you and choosing the best design option.
04
DETAIL DRAWINGSOnce the design proposal has been agreed, I will produce a landscape masterplan, as well as other plans defining the earthworks and grading, the detailed planting, the irrigation zoning, the lighting, construction details if required, technical specifications and material palettes.
05
TENDERINGThese detail drawings and technical specifications will be used for reaching out suppliers and constructors so that a final cost estimation can be calculated.
06
WORK SUPERVISIONDuring the construction phase, I will help monitor the project, i.e. I will come to the site to check on the progress of the work, as well as resolve any issue arising on site and send additional detail drawings if required, so that your dream garden can be successfully built.
