The brief for this garden was to turn an old backyard garden in California into a Mediterranean botanical oasis that required drought tolerant plants and low maintenance. The client wanted to have a variety of soft color, different textures of plants and a small water fountain in the garden to relax and enjoy this outdoor space all year round. The journey to the seating area with a fire pit is created with stepping stones interspersed with light-colored gravel and, in some areas, creeping ground cover.
